Who's Who at Cannabis Health

I’m Lorraine Langis, Office/Distribution Manager here at the Journal.
I’m married with 2 children (12 & 15). We live on 3 acres with 2 dogs, 3 cats
and 36 chickens. Tubing down the Kettle River in summer and snowmobiling in winter are two of my favorite things to do. If you’re ever in Grand Forks, stop by the office and say “Hey!”

Hi everybody! My name is Gordon Taylor and I was born and raised in Oliver, BC. My heroes have always been cowboys and country music is my favorite groove, played, of course, on my favorite Les Paul. Thirty years in the health care field as an LPN and an Activities Coordinator has given me a deep sense of compassion and understanding of the needs of people who can’t always speak for themselves.
Retirement has brought a renewed sense of dedication for the medical marijuana movement and I’m proud to be a founding member of the Cannabis Health Foundation.
Cheers and Peace, Uncle Gord

Andre Borak - Hi my names Andre Borak I’m a new part of the hippie nation, a new resident to the lovely sunshine valley, Boundary district. I am a former member of the Vancouver Island wet-coast nation. A change of scenery and dry winters sounded appealing, so here the train stops, and what a great station it is. I have a mixed background of history, since I was a kid I would tear apart new bikes to figure out how they worked. This then lead to a curiosity on how every toy and person worked, my favorite toy as a kid was the Austin powers million dollar man. He was a one foot tall man with see through skin if you pushed his heart you could see the blood pump .you could see his bones muscles and internal organs .“I was hooked” growing up was tailored to all having to do with the Human body, THE most exciting vessel in our lives. Our bodies are the only things that support us every step of the way through life, longer than any car or house.
Usually this amazing biological machine works like a well oiled motor ,But some times it needs some minor maintenance, and some fine tuning periodically, The first piece of the puzzle was a personal training background, This choice although practical left me with lots of unanswered questions. My answers came with Chinese medicine I went to school for five years to completed a doctorate program, I worked in the health food business part time to help my bank account as well as my mental educational account.
I am well versed in many types of natural modalities from herbology to homeopathy to energy.
I am the new sales manager at cannabis health and am working to bring an all encompassing natural medicinal content to the readers.
I am looking to this new year of positive changes and growth.
Take Care, Andre

Barb Cornelius - Barb and her husband moved “back to the land” on acreage outside of Grand Forks in 1977, and have lived there ever since. During those years they have raised two children, and been involved in  all aspects of running and enjoying the local ski area. Barb is an avid snowboarder, and a member of the Kootenay Robusters Dragon Boat Team.

Mandy Nordahn - I have been with the Journal since the very beginning, I am now the journals webmaster in training. I have recently returned after having my second child, Carter, and have been enjoying time with my daughter Jenna. Grand Forks has been my home for most of my life and here is where I will stay to raise my kids.

Brian McAndrew - It's good to be back. After spending two years and the first ten issues helping to start Cannabis Health and keep it going, I had to leave due to time conflicts with my personal business, Beyond Graphix. Two weeks before the Access Denied issue went to print, Barb St.Jean also a Founding Director of Cannabis Health Foundation and current Editor, asked me to come back to get this issue out and to active duty as Production Manager again with CH....I accepted the challege. I look forward to working with the Cannabis Health team once again on future issues of our magazine.

Barb St.Jean - I've been involved with the organization since inception in 1999, but a Lupus flare has kept me from fully participating over the last few years. With the help of wonderful doctors and natural medicines I'm fighting back and it feels great. Cannabis for health has been my passion and it is a pleasure working with such a dedicated team of individuals to fulfill the vision.

The rest of the bios will be added shortly - right guys!- Michael & Michel this means you
