Sell Marijuana Legally
by Wendy Little & Eric Nash
A Complete Guide to Starting Your Marijuana Business

Price: $ 19.95 CDN

book review
Barb St.Jean, Editor – Cannabis Health

Wendy and Eric’s book “Sell Marijuana Legally” could soon make the list of #1 best sellers in Canada. This book raises the credibility of medical marijuana as a legitimate medicine in the eyes of the general public, and supplies the reader with all the resources and information needed to create their own legal and compassionate agricultural business in Canada. I left this book on the store counter for a few minutes as I went to answer the phone, only to come back to see that a crowd had gathered. One comment from a man in his late 60s said it all; “I would love to grow medical marijuana and be able to
see my crop legal!” Eric Nash and his wife, Wendy Little, grow the healthiest pot in Canada. They are the first federally licensed medical marijuana growers to have their crop officially certified 100 per cent organic. They have followed the rules and used common sense to provide a safe and secure environment to produce cannabis and have demonstrated that growing marijuana can be done legally and in a manner that does not harm or alienate the community. This book provides a solution to the medical marijuana
supply issues patients currently face. Thanks Eric and Wendy for a job well done.

The Best of Ask Ed
Your marijuana growing questions answered.
by Ed Rosenthal

Price: $24.95CAD

book review
by Rip Ready

Before most people start something, the smart thing to do is ask advice from someone who’s knowledgeable, with enough experience that even other so-called experts go to him for advice. Someone with enough experience to be able to answer all of your questions, no matter how obscure they may seem to be.
Is there someone like that? When you talk about growing cannabis, the expert of experts is Ed Rosenthal, and what better, than to have “The Best of Ask Ed” to guide you through all of your cannabis growing concerns. The book is over 400 pages and includes a handy glossary of terms and an excellent index.
As long as I can remember, Ed has been writing the “Ask Ed” advice column. Actually, it’s been over 20 years since his start in August of 1983. Things have changed since then with new products and science in the cultivation of cannabis and Ed keeps up on it all, revising and updating where needed for this edition.
Ed’s reputation carries so much weight that he was deputized by the City of Oakland to legally grow marijuana for medicinal use by sick and dying patients. Shortly after he was arrested by the DEA for growing the 3,000 cannabis plants that were needed by those medical patients.
If you are an inexperienced grower who has never grown a pot plant, Ed will take you through the very basics to get you started. As you gain experience from your crops, and your questions need more detailed answers, Ed will be there.

The Big Book of Buds
Ed Rosenthal

Scientific breakdown of 100 different strains. Incredible photos!

Price: $30.50 CDN

book review by Lisa Smith
The Big Book of Buds takes you on a factual journey into the amazing world of hemp and cannabis. Follow seeds from the beginning of time to present day and learn what uses other cultures have found for the plant. An entire chapter is devoted to the Canadian movement complimented with historic photos. Before reading this amazing book, I had no idea there is an existing cannabis college and a hash, marijuana and hemp museum. Not only does the BBB give you history about cannabis and hemp; it allows you to study 100 different plant strains so you can make informed choices on what to grow.
The BBB is a must read before you head out to buy seeds. Each of the 100 strains comes with its own scientific breakdown, which part of the world the strain originated, what it has been crossed with, preferred climate conditions as well as sensory expectations. If you are suffering from chronic pain, insomnia, arthritis or side effects from other medications, the BBB will help you choose the right plant for you with the correct medical benefits you are looking for.
I found the BBB fun and easy to read with incredible amounts of valuable information and amazing photos. BBB has given me the knowledge to make an informed choice before I purchase seeds. BBB is not so much a book on how to grow but more "what" to grow.

Marijuana for Dopes
Joseph Romain
For anyone who wants to know past, present and future of Marijuana. Easy Reading. Fun Book!

Price:$14.95 CDN

book review by Rip Ready
In the early 70’s, after I had learned about the stress & pain relief benefits of cannabis, I was watching a talk show hosted by Dick Cavett. Dick was interviewing George Carlin, a comedian who was well know for his “hippy dippy weather man” routine, and asked him what he thought of the “dope problem”.
George’s reply was, “definitely too many dopes!” George may have been referring to something else, but after reading this book, I felt like I was a dope. After 30 years of being a cannabis smoker, I was humbled to learn so much in a concise, entertaining, easy to read book.
Joseph Romain traces marijuana’s history from ancient cultures and religions through to its entrance into North America, digging up more than just facts.

How did marijuana, a slang term for all types of cannabis, become the accepted official word we use? It is a very interesting story that leads into how the “War on Drugs”, or the prohibition of marijuana, affected more than just the stuff that gets smoked. Joseph explains how it effectively crushed a burgeoning hemp industry that was ready to compete industrially with the cotton industry, synthetic fibre industry, petrochemical fuel & plastic industry, food, and the pharmaceutical industries.
I hadn’t known that the ban on using cannabis for research purposes was put in place after the “La Guardia Report”, which was commissioned in 1944, concluded that the publicity concerning the catastrophic effects of marijuana smoking in New York was unfounded and that marijuana smokers should be left alone. Gee, I wonder what that was about... NOT! In Josephs words, “The war on drugs has guaranteed the viability of an illicit market while making the ligitimate economics virtually impossible”.
Joseph doesn’t give you that kind of feeling that you get when you are caught up in some paranoid conspiracy theory. Facts are layed out in a sometimes humorous way, but you draw your own conclusions. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Marijuana for Dopes, and don’t feel like one any more.
Thanks until next time,

book review by Lisa Smith
Ed Rosenthal has done his homework again.
Trash to Stash shows us how to use the full potential of a harvest. Understand your harvest and you'll never throw out shake again. Trash to Stash is the how-to book, everything is in here, including recipes, shopping lists, reviews of products and other invaluable information. Ed takes an in depth look, in an easy to understand format, at alternative administrative methods for cannabis.
Sometimes smoking cannabis can be obvious and inconvenient. Trash to Stash shows how to make edibles and tinctures that come in real handy for someone who doesn't want to smoke or needs to be discreet. Also included in this book is information to regulate dosage (titration).
Ed fully explains how to take shake and turn it into something very valuable. Need to know how to make kief, hash or cannabis butter?? That's here too!! Ed includes many methods for doing great things with bud and shake.
Do you know anyone who can't always afford high grade, but needs help? Why not save a big bag of shake from harvest and include a copy of Trash to Stash? You will have given someone an invaluable gift. Thanks, Ed, I never knew what to do with that bag at the back of my closet.
